de Monbrison
Château Monbrison
AOC MargauX
The Grand vin is Monbrison’s jewel. It is made form the oldest vines, planted in 1963 by Elizabeth Davis and Christian Vonderheyden.
Work in the vineyard is meticulous and conscientious, with adapted cultural techniques. Frequent yield controls allow the best grape quality. Harvest is hand-made, and we do practice parcel selection.
Maceration lasts 18 months in french oak barrels, with 40% of new wood. An ongoing test of maceration in amphoras is very promising.
This wine is the perfect expression of its terroir. The cabernets sauvignons and merlots enhance the blendings, and the right balance between silky tannins, the fruit power, and acidity allow an ageing potential up to 20 years and more for the best vintages.

BOUQUET DE Monbrison
AOC MargauX
The Bouquet is the second wine of the estate. Like the Grand vin, it is a blend, but it is made with the youngest vines (max 20 years). Harvest is hand-made at optimum maturity, and the wines are matured 12 months in french oak barrels of 2nd and 3rd wines.
The Bouquet is a keen wine with red fruit aromas and soft and candied tannins, allied to a nice freshness that offer an ageing potential up to 10 years.
HAUT-MEDOC DE Monbrison
AOC HAUT-Médoc
This cuvée is produced with vines located in the Arcins village. The clay-limestone parcels are mainly planted with merlots. After harvest, the wines are matured during 12 months, including 6 with staves. This wine, to be drunk in the following years of its elaboration, beautifully brings out the fruit and body of the merlots, major grape variety in the blend.
LA ROSE DE MONBRISON
Vin de France
This new wine is on the market for the 2020 vintage. It is a single grape variety rosé de presse (100% cabernet sauvignon) produced with the AOC Haut-Médoc vines. The color is salmon-pink, the nose has gourmand aromas and the taste brings delicious freshness. Just wait up to 2 hours in the fridge before drinking it!
